Boxers are ranked according to ability and accomplishments in their respective weight classes. Fighters may be removed if they have been inactive for over 18 months and still have no fights scheduled.
Lineal Boxing Champion’s long-standing, independent, non-computerised, monthly divisional ratings, began on April 6th, 2019 – at this time, no such ratings existed in women’s professional boxing.
The international panel that produces the ratings, consists of ten boxing analysts, from nine different countries.
Junior Flyweight
Yesica Bopp exits due to inactivity. Tania Enriquez climbs to #4 and Anabel Ortiz enters at #5.
Bantamweight
On September 1st, Dina Thorslund (WBO titlist) outpointed Luna Avila (WBC titlist) by 10-round unanimous decision to fill the Lineal Championship vacancy. Heading into the bout, Luna Avila was rated #1 in LBC’s ratings, #2 with The Ring (August 28th ratings) and #2 with ESPN (August 29th). Thorslund was rated #2 in LBC’s ratings, #1 with The Ring and #1 with ESPN. The vacant Ring title was also at stake. Florencia Juarez enters the bantamweight at #5.
Featherweight
Brenda Carabajal (last month’s #3 rated featherweight) lost by split decision to Danila Ramos on August 18th - Ramos enters the ratings at #3, while Carabajal just falls out of the top-5. Meinke and Chapman remain at #4 and #5 respectively.
Lightweight
Mikaela Mayer exits as she has now stated she will be staying at higher weight classes; most likely, welterweight. Unless a rematch materialises, Amanda Serrano will remain at featherweight, therefore, exits the lightweight ratings, as does Estelle Mossely who has moved up to junior welterweight, allowing Moneo and Lescano each move up. Elhem Mekhaled enters at #3, Erica Farias at #4 and Rhiannon Dixon at #5.
Welterweight
