Boxers are ranked according to ability and accomplishments in their respective weight classes. Fighters may be removed if they have been inactive for over 18 months and still have no fights scheduled.
Lineal Boxing Champion’s long-standing, independent, non-computerised, monthly divisional ratings, began on April 6th, 2019 – at this time, no such ratings existed in women’s professional boxing.
The international panel that produces the ratings, consists of ten boxing analysts, from nine different countries.
Atomweight
Eri Matusda defeated Lineal Champion, Yuko Kuroki, by 10-round split decision on January 12, to become the new queen at 102lb. Kuroki is now ranked at #1, pushing Alarcon to #2. Tina Rupprecht enters at #3, following her unanimous decision win over Fabiana Bytyqi on January 13. Sumire Yamanaka enters at #4 after outpointing Mika Iwakawa on January 12. Iwakawa drops to #5 and Bytyqi and Nanae Suzuki exit the ratings.
Junior Bantamweight
Mizuki Hiruta enters at #5, following her 6th-round TKO of Ji Hyun Park on January 12 - Adelaida Ruiz, who has had just two fights at 115lb since 2022, exits.
Junior Welterweight
Magali Rodriguez (#3-ranked last month) and Caroline Dubois (#5-ranked last month) exit as they now appear to be focused on other weight classes. Oshin Derieuw rises to #3. Samantha Worthington enters at #4 and Estelle Mossely enters at #5.
Welterweight
Mikaela Mayer rises to #3, switching places with Ivana Habazin, after her controversial split-decision points loss to Natasha Jonas on January 20; many reporters and pundits felt Mayer had done enough to earn the victory.
